Please know that Quartz is a manmade surface option made of natural quartz crystals, epoxy and resin binders.  Slabs come in a wide range of color options such as fire-engine red and bright apple green to colors that mimic natural stones like marble. Quartz is nonporous and scratch resistant making it a durable surface selection that does not require sealing. The countertops are fabricated like natural stone so you can choose the same edge profiles, sink cut outs, and custom details to design the countertop of your dreams. Quartz is not recommended for outdoor areas that are exposed to the sun, but once manufacturer, Diresco, claims to have solved this dilemma.
