Soapstone Wax

Caring for Soapstone

Unlike most natural stone, Soapstone is nonporous.  The occasional use of an approved oil or a wax is all that's needed to bring out the beauty of the stone and help conceal small scratches.

Johnson Granite has created a food-safe Soapstone wax that is made from all natural waxes and oils. The application process is easy...just like waxing a car.  Just one application of this product will leave your surface performing beautifully for months, or even years, to come.

Well, I’ve tried mineral oil, cutting board wax (mineral oil and beeswax), Clark’s soapstone wax and yours. After 2 applications with a few weeks in-between, Johnson’s [Soapstone Wax] wins hands down. I’m really pleased with the results. Over time I think it will get to the point of one or two application a year and less after that. I am really pleased with your wax!
